Doha Academy is seeking a meticulous Accountant to join its finance team and manage the academy’s financial transactions, reporting, and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Experience
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in an educational institution or similar environment in Qatar.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar’s tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with Qatari regulations.
- Handle payroll, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assist in audit preparation and liaise with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and QFC standards.
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
