Accountant – UAE

Cavend Construction is hiring for the position of Accountant.

Qualification

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Proven experience as an Accountant (preferably in the construction industry).
3. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and construction-specific financial practices.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems), MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities and Requirements

1. Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
2. Monitor project costs, prepare cost reports, and ensure they stay within budget.
3. Process subcontractor and supplier payments, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
4. Maintain accurate records of all construction-related financial transactions.
5. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
6. Coordinate with the project and procurement teams to ensure accurate job costing.
7. Prepare and submit VAT returns and other regulatory filings.
8. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies.
