We are looking for an experienced Transport Incharge with a valid Qatar light/medium truck license to manage and optimize our transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily transport operations (vehicles, staff & goods movement)
- Maintain vehicle records: registration, insurance, fuel, service schedules
- Ensure vehicles are serviced, roadworthy & compliant with laws
- Assign duties & routes to drivers; monitor performance & discipline
- Arrange driver training (safety, defensive driving, company standards)
- Plan & optimize cost-effective routes
- Coordinate with operations & HR for staff/material transport
- Handle emergencies (breakdowns, accidents, vehicle issues)
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws & regulations
- Maintain valid insurance, permits & licenses for all vehicles
- Implement safety standards & monitor HSE compliance
Reporting & Cost Control
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly fuel, mileage, and expense reports
- Control transport costs & suggest improvements
- Keep detailed transport activity logs for audits
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in transport/fleet management (catering/logistics/service industry preferred)
- Valid light/heavy driving license (Qatar)
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance & local traffic regulations
- Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure & manage emergencies
