Hiring for an Accountant position in Qatar. The role involves handling accounting activities including books of accounts, reconciliations, costing, payroll processing support, fixed assets, and financial documentation.
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting environment.
Qualification
- Minimum university degree in Accounting & Commerce from a reputed university, or partly qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or CA.
- Excellent MS Office knowledge, especially Excel.
- Good business communication skills.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Recording and maintaining books of accounts as per company policies and accounting standards.
- Monthly bank reconciliations and costing of inventory.
- General ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations.
- Timely recording of transactions in General Ledger and sub-modules such as HRMS and Telephone Module.
- Preparing bank-related documents (deposit slips, LCs, payments, cheques).
- Processing payroll in coordination with HRMS.
- Recording CAPEX, asset purchases, disposals, and transfers in Fixed Assets Module.
- Assisting in verification of inventory, cash, and fixed assets.
- Supporting implementation of Credit Control policy.
- Petty Cash management (where applicable).
- Timely presentation of debit/credit notes and supplier payments.
- Follow-up on all receivables.
- Customer, supplier, and inter-unit account reconciliations.
- Any other related duties assigned by the supervisor
