Experience
Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA, CA, CMA certification preferred but not required
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Experience in inventory accounting and cost allocation
- Proficient in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Generate and issue accurate invoices in a timely manner while managing the end-to-end billing process
- Monitor incoming payments, process them correctly, and maintain precise records in databases and spreadsheets
- Track and collect overdue accounts to optimize cash flow, proactively implementing collection strategies
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, and respond promptly to customer inquiries and support requests
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances, including inter-company transactions and month-end closing activities
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting, maintaining financial records for audits and financial statements
- Foster strong customer relationships, communicating effectively to manage accounts and reduce bad debts
