Assistant Finance Manager – Kuwait

Hiring an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join the finance team in Kuwait. Valid residency is required for this position.

Experience

  • 3–5 years in finance and accounting within the retail industry.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system is a must.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA certification preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and its application to business transactions.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Understanding of industry, regulatory, and legislative financial developments.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Lead financial reporting projects and implement changes in accounting standards and group policies.
  • Conduct monthly review of Trial Balance and General Ledger.
  • Maintain and review accounting policies and workflows in Oracle ERP.
  • Analyze monthly costs versus budgets at the store/brand level.
  • Prepare management reports including P&L, Cash Flow, variance, and ratio analysis.
  • Perform detailed P&L variance analysis (MTD & YTD).
  • Assist in annual business plan preparation.
  • Identify and report internal control weaknesses.
  • Automate reporting processes using Excel and macros.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors.
