Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple MEP projects.
- Ensure minimal problems from design to delivery.
- Use project management software, AutoCAD, and word processing programs to create MEP plans.
- Prepare cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Oversee the project management team and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
- Coordinate on-site work with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers.
- Provide MEP system installation, maintenance, and technical advice to service providers, supervisors, and inspectors.
- Inspect, analyze, and find solutions for engineering issues related to the MEP features.
- Review and evaluate the work of contractors, consultants, and other construction industry professionals.
- Review contractor drawings and installation method statements to ensure compliance with the MEP design plan.
- Make technical clarifications to resolve coordination issues and design modifications.
- Monitor and maintain on-site health and safety policies and ensure compliance.
- Undertake off-site inspections of MEP equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulations and project suitability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil with Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Registration or affiliation with a professional body is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years in a similar position.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience.
