Procurement and Contracts Specialist – Qatar

Experience

  1. Minimum 10 years of construction-related experience in procurement or contract management.
  2. Prior experience managing teams (1–2 years) is a plus.

Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  2. Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract law, and compliance regulations.
  3. Experience with government contracting is highly desirable.
  4. Proven negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficiency in procurement tools, contract management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Preferred certifications (not mandatory): MRICS, MCIPS, CPSM, CCCM.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  1. Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiating, executing, and renewing contracts.
  2. Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure compliance with company policies.
  3. Conduct vendor research, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate favorable contract terms.
  4. Analyze contract terms to mitigate risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  5. Maintain accurate procurement and contract documentation.
  6. Resolve disputes and ensure smooth communication with stakeholders.
  7. Keep up with industry trends and propose continuous improvements.
  8. Draft comprehensive, legally sound commercial documentation.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
