We are hiring a Sr Accounting Specialist (AP & GL) in Qatar with multilingual skills to manage Accounts Payable and General Ledger functions.
Experience
- 10+ years of overall accounting experience.
- 7+ years of core experience in Accounts Payable & General Ledger.
- 5+ years of hospital/healthcare accounting experience.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in Qatar.
- 3+ years of accounting experience in the government sector.
- Proven experience in Oracle EBS for Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Handle routine payable work, ensuring smooth operation of the Accounts Payable section.
- Book all external invoices and internal expense claims for reimbursement.
- Develop and maintain systems, procedures, and policies for Accounts Payable functions.
- Responsible for the month-end closing process of Accounts Payable Ledger.
- Reconcile Payable Ledgers with Supplier Statements.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with external suppliers and internal clients.
- Manage General Ledger section, prepare journal entries, and analyze monthly expense variance.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes and generate financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in compliance with internal policies.
- Develop and implement systems, procedures, and policies for the General Ledger section.
